CORPORALS' CAMP 2010

Corporals’ camp was a fun camp because GB girls from other companies came to our school to have the camp together. We were divided into different groups such that we were mixed with other people from other companies. At first it was hard but we begin to get along through the camp. We forged many new friendship. We learnt about teamwork and leadership through devotions and the different activities and games that were plan for us. Outdoor cooking was one of the activity that taught us about cooperation as we need to give each other something to do so that we can finish cooking on time. We had many scolding like not being punctual, but we knew it was for our own good. At the end of the camp, everyone of us exchanged numbers with our new friends and continued to keep in touch. It was a memorable camp.

It is the end of the year and the year is coming to an end . During this long period of time of the holidays , please study hard and revise what you've learnt for the year especially for sec2s and sec3s .

Company Outing on friday was considered a success with the help of all your participation and enthusiasm and i believe most of you had fun :D

For the Sec 2s that attended the Sec2TC over the weekend , although it was tiring but it was also a time where the whole cohort bond closer together and get to know each other more :) Not forgetting that all of you learnt to perservere and press on , having team spirit through various games and activities . BE HUMBLE ;)

Girls who aren't sure of how to pin your badges, it is in this order
1 Senior badges

5 Pioneer badges I am here to remind everybody about your uniform. It should be in tip-top condition on saturday for enrolment, if you have any doubts please do look for your seniors, be it your Squad Leaders, Assistant Squad Leaders are any seniors you meet in school, dont worry we're all very nice people ;D

How to polish your boots:

1 Coat your boots with 8 layers of kiwi first [new boots],

wrap the cloth around one of your finger,

then put kiwi and coat your boots in STRAIGHT LINE/MOVEMENT

2 After coating, put kiwi like how you do coating,

then add abit of water then POLISH IN CIRCLES

[by abit of water, its one DROP, not put your whole cloth into the water]

Note:

1 DO NOT USE INSTANT SHINE, it will spoil your boots

2 Try not to burn your boots, use the sun if you need to melt the kiwi

3 Use minimum amount of water as far as possible

My Dearest Lance-Corporals,

After the camp ended I wanted to talk to you girls but we had to let you girls leave as quickly as possible. That is why I have asked the exco to post this up here on my behalf to express my feeling and my thoughts.

I am really proud of each and every one of you! Although the camp was strict and tough, you girl roughed it out and persevered on and made it through the camp without much trouble. I have heard quite a few good reviews about 4th coy girls from the other officers and I am very proud of those who shone brightly during the camp, taking the initiative to bear the responsibilities of your team. I also hope that you have found new friends from different companies and have renewed your friendships with your fellow 4th coy members through this camp. Remember to encourage each other along the way and to build each other up as you have during the camp. I hope that you girls will learn to be the 3rd cord in your friendship instead of placing obstacles in front of your friends. Be patient with your fellow members and be a friend to those who are in need, remember no one wants to left behind. Please remember all the important lessons that we have taught you during the camp and try to but them into practice.

For those who encountered scolding from the various officers during the camp I hope you do not take them personally but seek to understand why we have scolded or punished you girls. Focus on the positive things, try not to think too much about the negative things but instead seek to improve yourselves. We really want you girls to grow as much as possible and become the best leaders that you girls can be. I have much faith in you girls (:

Please be good girls in GB and in school and I will see you girls soon when I have the chance. Remember to seek serve and follow Christ in what ever you do and support your seniors in whatever way you can.

Okay, as you guys know, it is GB's turn to be the GOH this year for our school's NDP! So yep, there will be practices for those who are involved in it. Mainly the Sec3s & 4s (: For the lower sec, its okay! You guys will get a chance next year or so (:

So the practices are as followed .
Date: 9th & 16th June (Mondays)
Time: 9am - 2pm (Lunch break would be given)
Venue: PLMGSS Parade Square
